A timber home that gives family life room to unfold while staying connected to the trees around it.
The brief
The family wanted a house that could handle muddy shoes, busy mornings and slower weekends without losing the calm of its woodland site. Timber and natural finishes helped the home sit comfortably among the trees.
Planning focused on the route through the house, useful storage, warm shared rooms and windows that bring the landscape into view without making every room feel exposed.
The approach
The layout separates the quiet rooms from the shared spaces while keeping the main rooms open to the garden. Storage and durable finishes were considered as part of the plan, not added later.
